Biography

Madeline Walsh is a formalist sculptor based in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. Her passion for sculptural art has developed through years of exploration across various mediums, with a particular focus on ceramics. Working primarily with clay, Madeline finds a profound connection to the natural world—transforming raw earth into expressive, tactile forms that echo organic shapes and textures.

Drawing inspiration from nature, her work often reflects the interplay between structure and spontaneity, surface and form. Each piece is an investigation of balance, tension, and material presence, rooted in an intuitive, hands-on process.

Madeline earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts from the University of Rhode Island, where she deepened her practice and refined her voice as a sculptor. She remains committed to ongoing growth as an artist, continually exploring new ways to shape, connect, and communicate through her work.
